Your interpretation is correct in that he is addressing the claims, but your nefarious spin on that is entirely your own. Yudkowski directly wrote that he did not have sex with the accuser, and it was a very reasonable statement: recognizing the possibility that I may not know a person's true details, I have not knowingly had sex with a Capricorn or Catholic or 17 year old, nor any Croatian or Celtics fan or cosmonaut.
I swear, it could be legitimately proven that Eliezer has sexually assaulted/harassed women or engaged in pedophilia or anything like that…and his super-fans across LessWrong and the TESCREAL community would say, “Who cares…what King Yud has done is nothing compared to what the Superintelligence would do”.
And people say AI today, and the people involved in it, isn’t a cult.
Ugh. Joe Rogan is an embarrassment to my generation (and the USA). Thanks for the reminder of why I tend to prefer friends half my age. A significant portion of GenX has gotten older and stupider. It’s disappointing.
